Article: Zambian Urbanites Urged to Include Traditional Food in Diet

The Zambian government Saturday called on people living in urban areas to include traditional foodin their diet so as to improve their nutritional status.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Russell Mulele said that traditional food is not only affordable but has high nutritional value and flavor as well as variety.

Mulele made the remarks at the Open Day of the Promotion of Urban Consumption of Zambian Traditional Food and the launch of the Recipe Book on Zambian Traditional Food held here on Saturday.
