Article: Highland School District Sends Bond to Vote -- Residents will decide $5.5 million issue Feb. 2

Residents in the Highland School District soon will vote on a $5.5 million construction bond that will determine the fate of all three school buildings.

If the bond passes Feb. 2, the district will modernize the three school facilities and build a new high school to accommodate a growing population. The new school, which would serve grades 10 through 12, would be built next to the current high school. The existing high school would then become a junior high for seventh- through ninth-graders.
