The way Rick Trujillo remembers it, Eric Nanez was a natural.
"The first thing I saw when Eric first started wrestling, you
could tell that he was special," said Trujillo, the coach of the Yak
Attack Wrestling Club. "He was wrestling kids with a couple years of
experience in practice and he'd get them down.
"He was a lot quicker and faster than them." Young Nanez is now
officially special, recently returning from Billings, Mont., where
he won six straight matches and earned a national freestyle title at
the AAU Grand National Championships. Wrestling in the 53-pound
bantam division for 7-8 year olds, he won his first five matches by
