Correction: Because of a reporting error, the name of a bluegrass
band, the Ohop Valley Boys, was incorrectly printed in a story on
the Folklife Festival in Saturday's paper.

Summer is here, make no mistake.
It announced itself Saturday by burning unprotected skin, spiking
temperatures into the mid-90s and sending people beneath the shade
of big leafy trees.
The best place to do this was Yakima's Franklin Park, while
listening to the pluck of strings at the 17th annual Folklife
Festival. Saturday, families, musicians and others cavorted on the
grassy lawns to the sounds of bluegrass, blues and folk. They played
