The Lower Yakima Valley may go from having no District Court
offices at all to being a District Court district on its own.
A committee that advises county commissioners on the structure of
District Court agreed Friday to study the feasibility of creating a
separate court district south of Union Gap, a move that would
require holding court there and assigning a judge specifically to
the area.
Currently, the entire county comprises one court district and
judges may sit in any location designated in the District Court
Districting Plan.
