Correction: Due to a reporter's error, a sentence in Tuesday's story about Greg Canova running for the state Supreme Court was incorrectly attributed to his opponent, Justice Richard Sanders.

The sentence should have read: Though Sanders was cleared of wrongdoing in the recent ethics case, the underlying issue remains, Canova said.
