Summers and fishing just seem to go together. At least they used to.

During my formative years, from about the eighth grade on, my buddies and I spent just about all our free time fishing wherever and whenever we could.

Because I lived not too far from Cowiche Creek, that is where we usually fished. We could grab our fishing rods, hop on our bikes and be fishing in just a few minutes. I can't tell you how many summer days we spent walking the railroad tracks up Cowiche Canyon, hitting one good fishing hole after the next.
