Washington voters should be wary of Initiative 694, the anti-
abortion measure on the November ballot. This dangerous and
confusing initiative is the most serious threat to a woman's right
to choose since that right was guaranteed by Washington voters in
1970 and the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision in 1973.
Initiative 694 puts a woman's health at risk, and could ban
abortions at any stage of pregnancy - even in the first trimester.
Supporters of 694 say we need to ban "infanticide," which is what
they call most abortions. In fact, Initiative 694 is an abortion
ban. It changes the current clear legal definition of "abortion" and
