Here's how easy it was for West Virginia Tuesday night at the
Civic Center.
With just over four minutes remaining in the first half, freshman
point guard Darryl "Truck" Bryant emerged from what amounted to a
rugby scrum with the basketball. Almost alone on the break, he could
have done just about anything with the basketball. Just as he
approached the top of the key, Alex Ruoff shot by him on the left
wing and shouted over his shoulder.
"Hey, Truck," Ruoff yelled.
Bryant never hesitated in whipping the ball over to the senior
guard. And why would he, given the zone Ruoff was in?
Yes, Ruoff made that 3-pointer, along with five others in the
first half. He added a seventh in the second and ...
