The Capital City Bombers swept a South Atlantic League
doubleheader from the Alley Cats at Watt Powell Park Wednesday
night,
but they really couldn't enjoy it too much.
The Bombers' victories of 5-3 and 6-4 were overshadowed by an
apparent seizure suffered by pitcher Tim Carr in the sixth inning of
the second game.
Carr, a right-handed reliever who was not in the game, collapsed
beside the Capital City dugout. Team officials said he stopped
breathing momentarily and his face turned blue. Several trainers
worked feverishly in an attempt to revive him while the game was
delayed.
After several minutes, Carr regained consciousness and was taken
to CAMC General.
