And now for the latest Kanawha County school board debate: when
to
hold the grand opening of the new $32 million Riverside High School.
"The third week of August," school board President John Luoni
said
emphatically. "The grand opening should say, 'Here's the school.'
The grand opening is when you open. It should be a few days before
school starts."
Not so fast.
Riverside Principal Richard Clendenin wants to hold the grand
opening in October.
"If John Luoni wants the grand opening in August, he can get it
ready," Clendenin said. "I don't have time."
