CITIZENS were magnificent earlier this year when they united in an
immensely successful show of support for saving and upgrading
Charleston's spacious Municipal Auditorium.
In retrospect, the most logical question in regard to the 3,450-
seat structure is: "What can we as citizens do to assure that the
Charleston Municipal Auditorium becomes even more important to the
social, entertainment and educational enrichment of citizens in
Charleston, the Kanawha Valley and West Virginia?"
There is no question that the Municipal Auditorium, with its large
seating capacity, is among the finest facilities that can be found in
the state and, significantly, in many surrounding states. In
