Capitol Market
Capitol Market, though it has not yet realized all its potential,
remains our favorite place to buy apples (Produce Junction), Rossi
Pasta (The Roasted Pepper), and cheeses. Those who like strong-
tasting cheeses - I know, we're an unappreciated, sometimes despised
minority - will find an ever-changing but wonderful selection at The
Cheese Shop, which seems lately to be exploring vigorous-tasting
blue cheeses, Cheddars and aged Italian cheeses. The Cheese Shop
has run out of olives again, but has had plenty of Jeff's Bread, a
sourdough thick-crust loaf which we hear is wonderful after a few
minutes back in the oven.
