The Lakewood BlueClaws used good pitching and a five-run sixth
inning to beat the Charleston Alley Cats 8-3 in Sally League
baseball Sunday at Watt Powell Park.
The Alley Cats helped the BlueClaws to the big sixth inning with
two errors and a wild pitch.
The Alley Cats led 3-1 entering the sixth, despite a quality
start by Lakewood pitcher Yoel Hernandez. The righty pitched seven
innings, giving up only three runs (one earned) on six hits. He
struck out seven and walked none.
