A Kanawha County judge said Wednesday he'll wait until July 31 to
decide whether West Virginia United Health System can remove four
members from the board of its partner, Elkins-based Davis Health
System.
The four Davis board members are accused of mismanaging hospital
money in a 30-page audit prepared by McGuire Woods, a Richmond, Va.-
based law firm. Davis officials dispute the audit's findings.
Kanawha Circuit Judge Charles King ruled May 9 that West Virginia
United couldn't remove the Davis board members: Chairman Tom
Williams, board counsel T. R. Ross, Treasurer Ralph Shepler and
Secretary William Brown.
