ATLANTA - The Atlanta Journal, founded in 1883, ceased operations
Friday, making one subtle change in its final edition.
Previously, the Journal's slogan beneath the masthead on the
front page, was "Covers Dixie Like The Dew."
For its final edition, it read: "Covered Dixie Like The Dew."
The Journal will combine with The Atlanta Constitution for
morning editions starting Monday.
The publications, owned by Cox Enterprises Inc., have shared a
news staff since 1982 and already publish combined ...
