Dear Healthline,

I think I'm breaking out in hives. My mom says I should get tested for allergies. But for as long as I can remember I've never been allergic to anything. Could it be nerves? I haven't been able to pinpoint when or why it happens. But sometimes it happens when I'm feeling mildly rushed or aggravated. For instance, it sometimes happens when I get home from work and I need to cook dinner, clean up, walk the dog, etc. I get this prickly, itchy feeling on my skin. When I check it out, I see tiny bumps. Eventually, the feeling goes away, but not until I'm distracted by something else.
