A Korean War Memorial would be deeply appreciated by Jack
Hardman's family.
"I had three brothers that were in Korea," said Hardman, a Roane
County native and Korean War veteran. "It'll mean a lot to them.
It'll mean a lot to the veterans that served our country." Area
Korean War veterans drew a step closer Thursday, July 27 in getting
their own regional memorial.
Chet Fleming, an Elkview resident and chairman of the memorial
committee and fund, kicked off fund raising for a Korean War
Memorial along with about 50 veterans and supporters at the proposed
site in St. Albans.
The memorial is being sponsored by the Korean War Veterans
Association Mountaineer Chapter 146 in ...
