"Flashing Leather" is a phrase that hasn't been said very much this season when referring to the Charleston Alley Cats. It is no secret that the Alley Cats have had trouble in the field this year. But Saturday night, the Cats looked like a team of future Gold Glovers. Thanks to good defense, a great pitching effort and big hits, Charleston (14-16) knocked off the visiting Cape Fear Crocs 6- 1 at Watt Powell Park in South Atlantic League play.

For the Crocs (10-20), it was their fourth consecutive defeat.
