DALLAS - To outsiders, Steve Evans is a confident, gregarious guy
with a habit of gaining and losing a lot of weight. Since the 47-
year-old ad writer seldom eats in front of other people and shares
normal-sized meals with his family, his fluctuating size has been a
kind of mystery to those outside his immediate family.
But Evans wants to share the story of his twisted relationship
with food, he says, in hopes that other men might relate to his
