Article: 1m to take Scots computer games success to a new level

A COMPUTER games centre is to receive a further GBP 1m funding to
help keep Scotland at the forefront of the industry .
Scottish Enterprise Tayside and Dundee Council are providing the
funding to further develop the International Centre for Computer
Games and Virtual Entertainment based at Abertay University.
News of the award follows the announcement two months ago of
another GBP 530,000 grant from the funding body for Scottish
universities.
The department last week hosted the fifth annual Virtual Systems
and MultiMedia Show - which has brought together experts in games,
art, computer creativity and virtual reality from 20 countries. It
