Nelson Mail deputy editor Bill Moore is to become editor
following the appointment of Paul Thompson to the editorship of The
Press, Christchurch.
Independent Newspapers Ltd announced the changes yesterday, along
with the shift of Tim Pankhurst from the editorship of The Press to
the same position at the Evening Post, and the stepping down of
Suzanne Carty from the Post for health reasons.
In a fourth appointment, former editor of the Daily News, New
Plymouth, Murray Goston, will become INL group training manager. He
replaces Warren Page, who is retiring.
Mr Moore, 47, was born and grew up in Nelson, and holds a diploma
from the Wellington Polytechnic School of Journalism.
