Provence, Tuscany, Nelson ... Nelson?

Yes, according to Nelson people who spoke at the symposium in Nelson last week on cultural tourism, it is possible to establish a regional identity for Nelson with much the same appeal and resonance as have Provence in France and Tuscany in Italy -- plus a personal contact here not often found in those popular European destinations.
