THE recent success of Nick Park has given British animation a
platform it has never previously enjoyed. Before now, the chief
animators were either based in southern California or eastern
Europe, the two most noted and accomplished homes for draftsmen and
story boards. But picking up the torch is the UK's Illuminated Films
who deliver a seasonal favourite in this animated version of Charles
Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
Such a familiar story is perfect fodder for the uncomplicated
