Article: Galbraith's action plan to cut record waiting lists

A RAFT of measures to tackle record hospital waiting lists in Scotland are to be unveiled today in the wake of the Government's announcement of tough targets to slash the number of people waiting for treatment in the next 12 months.

Sam Galbraith, the Scottish health minister, will spell out how the GBP 44 million extra for the NHS in Scotland will be used to bring the number of people waiting to fewer than was inherited from the Conservatives.
