WITH the return of the Horse of the Year Show qualifiers, and
entries in the light horse section up by almost 100, this year's
show
has all the right ingredients for an exciting, action-packed four
days.
A great focal-point of attention, the Templeton-in-hand
qualifier,
to be won by the supreme light horse or pony in-hand champion, will
be held at 12 noon on the Saturday, and judged by Margaret Runcie,
whose Rosslyn Stud, Pencaitland, with homebred Kiss, Domenique and
Sweet Repose, won the title on no less than four occasions and were
twice reserve.
"I will not go with any preconceived idea," says Margaret Runcie,
"I will just choose the one I like on the day."
