MRS B Wheeler's 11-year-old gelding, Farthing of Coulnacraig, put
himself through to the National Pony Society/Bailey's Horse Feeds
Mountain and Moorland National Ridden Championships when topping an
exceptionally strong Highland Pony section at Ingliston yesterday.
Downside to landing this Scottish qualifier must be the 11-year-
old's Grantown-on-Spey base for the trip south to these London-
based
championships which will come in December. But if they do get there
they will certainly earn the distinction of being the furthest
travelled.
