Article: French judge blames Dodi Fayed for fatal Diana crash

THE judge investigating the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, has blamed Dodi Fayed for his part in prompting the high-speed chase through Paris that led to her death.

A quarter of the final report of the examining magistrate, Herve Stephan, is dedicated to Mr Fayed's "disproportionate reaction" to press photographers pursuing the couple's car from the Ritz hotel on the night of the fatal crash.

Mr Fayed died with the princess and Henri Paul, the hotel's deputy head of security, on 30 August, 1997, after their Mercedes ploughed into a concrete pillar in an underpass.
