LITTLE Heather Keenan is too young and too sensible to be overawed by Hollywood, film stars, showbusiness hype and movie legends.

Which is fortunate for the seven-year-old actress - because she is set to land a role in one of the most eagerly awaited films of recent years.

Her talent was spotted by no less than the team of Martin Scorsese, the revered director of Taxi Driver, Goodfellas and Casino, when she starred in a ten-minute BBC film last week.

Now Heather and her family are preparing to fly from Glasgow to Italy to join the filming of Gangs of New York, a gangster epic which will star Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day Lewis and Cameron Diaz.
