A NEWBORN baby has been deposited through the special slot at
Germany's controversial "baby bank".
The child was 'posted' through a 30cm high, 72cm wide hatch, most
likely by a teenage mother frightened of the consequences of the
birth.
After the announcement it is understood a second baby was dumped
by its mother last night. The clinic refused to confirm it
officially, saying any announcement "will come in eight weeks'
time". It said confidentiality prevented further comment.
The first baby girl was named Ronja by staff at the clinic in
Hamburg, Germany.
An alarm bell rang in the middle of a June night and eight
