WASHINGTON, April 24 /U.S. Newswire/ -- America's parks, including
her national parks, are in desperate need of citizen action. The
National Park System alone is facing a $2 billion backlog of
infrastructure repair, maintenance and public health and safety
projects.
Recognizing the importance that parklands and their resources play
in the daily lives of Americans, the National Parks and Conservation
Association (NPCA) is sponsoring the third annual "March For Parks,"
May 1-3.
In New Jersey there are four marches. The Morris County Park
Commission is sponsoring a march to raise money for the protection
of Farny Heights, a region with 35,000 acres of undeveloped
