IN HAVANA they roll cigars on women's thighs. You try that one on
someone's sister in Glasgow and he'd salsa on your head.
However much the prospect of our city twinning with Havana might
sound like an idea fuelled by too much Bacardi, it will be great for
us all, it was claimed on the eve of a visit by a Cuban delegation.
On Monday the mayor of Havana, Conrado Martinez, arrives in
Glasgow to further the process of twinning.
In a four day visit he will meet business leaders and
regeneration teams.
"He is particularly interested in transport, education and
economic growth," said the lord provost Alex Mosson yesterday.
