SIR Paul McCartney has confessed he was a "little bit nervous"
about proposing to Heather Mills as the couple proudly showed off
the engagement ring yesterday.
The ex-Beatle and Miss Mills, a former model, emerged from their
north London home where they were immediately mobbed by scores of
journalists and well-wishers.
The couple said they were "very happy" after Sir Paul, 59, got
down on one knee to propose to Heather, 33, on Monday evening during
a trip to the Lake District.
Asked whether he it had been a nerve-racking experience, Sir Paul
said: "Just a little bit, but I managed."
And Miss Mills added: "I am still in shock. It happened all of a
sudden. It was romantic. My mum is dead, ...
