Pilots 'refused to fly Chinook helicopters'

RAF PILOTS were so worried about the safety of Chinook helicopters they refused to fly them even before the Mull of Kintyre crash, an expert said yesterday.

Speaking at the House of Lords Select Committee into the crash yesterday, Squadron Leader Robert Burke said problems had plagued the aircraft.
