George Washington 74, Temple 58
The flu has been rampaging through the Temple basketball team, but
it was the George Washington Colonials who left Coach John Chaney's
team feeling sick with a dominating performance Saturday at Liacouras
Center.
In its best performance since beating Michigan State and Maryland
in December, George Washington (14-5, 6-3 Atlantic 10) swarmed Temple
(10-9, 6-2) from tip to buzzer and earned a crucial 74-58 victory in
front of 6,812 fans.
The victory was George Washington's first victory at Liacouras
Center in four attempts and only the second over Temple in the last
nine meetings overall.
The Colonials had six days to prepare for the game, and Coach Karl
