WASHINGTON, Nov. 13 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The following was
released today by the Spina Bifida Association of America:
The Spina Bifida Association of America (SBAA) has received
hundreds of calls nationwide on the SBAA toll-free information
line, regarding San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown's comments
concerning San Francisco 49er's quarterback Elvis Grbac. Grbac's
nine-month-old son, Jack, has spina bifida and recently underwent
surgery.
Although relatively unknown, spina bifida is the number one
permanently disabling birth defect in the United States and affects
one in one thousand pregnancies. SBAA would like to ask Mayor
Brown to assist SBAA in raising awareness of spina bifida and how ...
