Medicare Rights Center Releases Report on Medical Overpayments

NEW YORK, Oct. 15 /U.S. Newswire/ -- According to a report released by the Medicare Rights Center (MRC), a nonprofit service organization for Medicare consumers, people on Medicare are overpaying hundreds of millions of dollars out of their own pockets for health care services or forgoing necessary care because of wrongful denials of care and coverage. Consumers have the right to appeal, but they do so only about 1 percent of the time because they lack information on appeal rights and procedures.
