NEW YORK, May 23 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The anti-government, right-
wing paramilitary militia movement, which came to public attention
in the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing, has been influenced by
far-right extremists on the American scene, according to a new
report released today by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
"Paranoia as Patriotism: Far-Right Influences on the Militia
Movement," provides a context for a greater understanding of the
militas' ideology. The report presents information on 18 right-
wing extremist groups and leaders, many with histories of violence,
who had an impact on or were the forerunners of today's militias.
