WASHINGTON, Feb. 1 /U.S. Newswire/ -- A major prospective
study of more than 570,000 women over six years conducted by
researchers at the American Cancer Society provides additional
convincing evidence that hair dyes are safe.
The study, conducted by Dr. Michael Thun et al. of the American
Cancer Society and published in the current Journal of the National
Cancer Institute (JNCI), found that the use of hair dyes does not
increase risk of cancer mortality, adding to the already large body
of scientific evidence showing that hair dyes are safe and providing
further reassurance for hair dye users.
One concern expressed by the authors was based on a statistical
analysis of only five cases ...
