WASHINGTON, Feb. 4 /U.S. Newswire/ -- An Olympic medalist, a
folk-rock star, and an Air Force Captain who flew relief missions
into Bosnia are among the Regional Finalists competing for places
in the 1994-1995 class of White House Fellows. (See full list
below.)
White House Fellows spend a year working as full-time paid
assistants to senior White House staff, the Vice President, Cabinet
officers, and other top-ranking government officials. Former
Fellows include Tom Johnson, President CNN; Lynn Schenk,
Congresswoman from San Diego; and General Colin Powell, former
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The Regional Finalists, numbering 147 in all, will interview
before panels of local ...
