Article: White House Announces Appointment of Executive Chef

WASHINGTON, April 5 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Walter S. Scheib, III was officially hired as the Executive Chef of the White House on Monday, April 4, 1994. Chef Scheib is expected to begin service at the White House in mid-April.

A 1979 graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, Scheib is the Executive Chef of the Greenbrier, in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, a post he has held since 1991. Scheib has served as the Executive Chef of the Mayflower Hotel, Washington, D.C.; the Madison Hotel, Washington, D.C.; The Boca Raton Hotel and Club, Boca Raton, Fla.; and the Capital Hilton Hotel, Washington, D.C.
