WASHINGTON, July 26 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The overwhelming majority
of Americans support strong measures to protect children from lead
poisoning, and evidence that initial preventive steps are working
makes it imperative that lawmakers do more to ensure that no more
children are poisoned, experts said at a news conference here today.
With the publication of new Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) data showing that lead poisoning still threatens
millions of American children, the Alliance to End Childhood Lead
poisoning today released new public opinion research and a five-point
