WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Universal Pictures tonight
presents the world premiere of "The River Wild" as a benefit for
American Rivers, the nation's principal river conservation
organization.
Expected to attend the screening at Washington's Uptown Theater
are actors Meryl Streep, David Strathairn and Joseph Mazzello, plus
director Curtis Hanson and producers David Foster and Lawrence
Turman. A celebrity reception follows the film screening.
"This film will bring the drama and beauty of rivers to millions
of Americans, and remind us of the need to protect our nation's
