ALBANY, N.Y., Nov. 18 /U.S. Newswire/ -- New York Farm Bureau
today applauded the recent passage of the North American Free Trade
Agreement (NAFTA).
According to Farm Bureau, this measure will result in an
economic boost for the state and nation's agricultural industries,
as well as their economies. By reducing or eliminating trade
barriers between Mexico and the United States, new doors are
opened for the sale of agricultural commodities produced in New York
state, such as dairy products, apples, potatoes, onions and grapes.
New York Farm Bureau President Charles Wille commented, "Passage
of NAFTA will lead to an improved financial situation for many of the
38,000 farm families ...
