Article: New York Farm Bureau Applauds Passage of NAFTA

ALBANY, N.Y., Nov. 18 /U.S. Newswire/ -- New York Farm Bureau today applauded the recent passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

According to Farm Bureau, this measure will result in an economic boost for the state and nation's agricultural industries, as well as their economies. By reducing or eliminating trade barriers between Mexico and the United States, new doors are opened for the sale of agricultural commodities produced in New York state, such as dairy products, apples, potatoes, onions and grapes.
