The Associated Press, the world's oldest and largest news
organization serving some 15,000 news outlets worldwide, will
kick off its 150th anniversary year with a press briefing and
preview of the Newseum exhibit, "FLASH! The Associated Press
Covers the World."
Presented by the AP and the Newseum, "FLASH!" is a multimedia
exhibit that brings together many of the AP's greatest photographs,
including Pulitzer Prize winners, an array of historical artifacts,
a special video presentation and several interactive computer
activities. The exhibit includes, among other artifacts, charred,
never-published images of the Hindenburg and a 19th century
