WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Republican National
Committee (RNC) today announced that W. Laird Stabler, Jr. of
Montchanin, Del., was elected to the RNC's Site Selection Committee
for the Party's 2000 Convention.
"The members of the Site Selection Committee will recommend the
one city in America that can best accommodate our 2000 National
Convention which will nominate our next president," RNC Chairman Jim
Nicholson said. "I congratulate Laird on his election and look
forward to working with him and the committee on the site selection
process."
