WASHINGTON, June 25 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Citizens for a Sound
Economy praised House Speaker Newt Gingrich today for his efforts
to reduce the capital gains tax rate. The comments were written by
Matt Kibbe, executive director of Citizens for a Sound Economy in a
letter addressed to Gingrich.
The text of Kibbe's letter follows:
"On behalf of Citizens for a Sound Economy's (CSE) 250,000
members, I would like to express our strong support for your
efforts to further reduce the capital gains tax rate from 20
percent to 15 percent.
"Despite last year's reduction from 28 percent to 20 percent, our
tax system remains biased against saving and investment because it
