WASHINGTON, July 14 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation's largest animal protection organization, is applauding the landmark sentence imposed in an animal cruelty case in Janesville, Wis. Last week, Rock County Circuit Court Judge Richard Werner sentenced Barry Herbeck to 12 years in jail for killing five cats.
