WASHINGTON, Oct. 26 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Fall and winter can rival
spring for those who suffer from allergies.
While pollen has its impact early in the year, fall and winter
mark the beginning of more indoor activities and increased exposures
to dust, indoor molds, pet dander, smoke and cockroach debris. The
upcoming holiday season presents its own particular challenges for
people sensitive to certain allergens found in food as well as on
live evergreen trees, ornaments and scented candles.
To raise awareness of this often under-recognized second allergy
season, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) will
sponsor a toll-free hotline manned by allergists on Tuesday, Nov.
