WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- When religious persecution
legislation stalled in a Senate committee, the Episcopal Church
led the charge to build support for a bipartisan bill that was
both principled and practical. "The Episcopal Church jump-started
the bill by pulling together diverse religious organizations
into a potent grassroots coalition, representing more than 80
percent of the church and temple going public," said Thomas
